A Compulsory Module is a module offered by your Subject that you MUST take. The Compulsory Modules listed can vary according to your Programme of Study, as per below:
Inclusive Education Full Time:
You must take 90 credits as follows:
Trimester 1/Trimester 2:
You must pick these modules but you can pick them in EITHER Trimester 1 OR Trimester 2:
EITHER:
EDU7101-30 - Research Methods in Social Science*
OR
EDU7102-15 - Research and the Professional Part 1* AND EDU7103-15 - Research and the Professional Part 2*
*Students must pick EITHER EDU7101-30 OR EDU7102-15 and ED7103-15. Students are not permitted to take more than 30 credits from these modules.
AND
Trimester 3:
Optional Modules are offered by your Subject and you are free to pick any of the Optional Modules listed to make up your credit totals (see Module Selection Rules). The Optional Modules listed can vary according to your Programme of Study, as per below:

In addition to the compulsory modules, students must pick a further 90 credits of Optional modules, ensuring they have a total of 60 credits maximum per Trimester.

EDU7114-60 - Independent Study* (This module is only available in Trimester 2 if the compulsory Research modules are selected in Trimester 1 OR to students exiting with PG Dip. MA students wishing to take compulsory Research modules in Trimester 2 can take EDU7114-60 in Trimester 1 only)
