Uses of Lavender: Lavender has been on the rise in different fields. Lavender has been popularized in inhalation therapy to treat headaches, nervous disorders, and exhaustion. Herbalists can also use it to treat skin ailments. Doctors and physicians use lavender for fungal infections (like candidiasis), wounds, eczema, and acne, with lavender oil. It can also be for day-to-day uses such as healing baths for joint and muscle pains. Lavender is also used in detergents, body washes, shampoos, etc. Lavender is used as a fragrance and ingredient in these products for cleaning and smelling purposes. 


Common Species and size: Lavender has about 15-20 different species. Lavender belongs to the Genus Lavandula species. Plants such as sage and Lamiaceae which is mint also belong to the Genus Lavandula family. Lavender plants can grow upwards of 20-24 inches long and wide.

Annual or Perennial and requirements for growth: Lavender is a Perennial that will last for several years under the right conditions. Lavender needs full sun and good drainage to grow. You can grow Lavender with a pot as it provides good drainage.

Where is Lavender located? Lavender is found in biomes that are blazing hot and have dry soil.  Lavender is mostly found in countries like France, Spain, and Italy.
