Mālama Wao Akua (Realm of the Gods) is a juried art exhibition celebrating native species of Maui Nui.
Congratulate the following BHS students who recently had their artwork juried into the 2020 Malama Wao Akua Show! Out of 21 high school entries, 9 were from Baldwin High School. We commend them for their passion, research, determination, and tenacity to work within the extreme limitations of time and resources "normally" available in the art studios to make the early deadline!

This native species art exhibition is the combined community efforts of art, science, and culture at work to celebrate and promote protection of our native species.
The East Maui Watershed Partnership (EMWP) in collaboration with Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center in Makawao. The focus of the show is to raise awareness about native species on Maui Nui. By offering several educational opportunities in conjunction with the show we hope that artists, young and old, of Maui Nui can explore our watersheds and express the value these species have within our daily life.
