What are the slate Dashboards?

About this session

Using the continua to rate student work allows us to track student growth over long periods of time. Unfortunately, most LMS systems do not have this capability. Because of this, Building 21 designed and built their own LMS within the Slate platform. In this session, we will record our ratings from the previous activity and see how the competency and task dashboards track progress.

Slate Demo

A Slate demo site is a useful play to test new features. It's also a great place to play around with all the features without the fear of changing actual data.

You can log in with:

  • Username: demoteacher
  • Password: demoteacher
  • Username: demostudent
  • Password: demostudent

Once you are logged in, hover over tools and choose either Competency or Task Dashboard.

Use the document, Performance Task Example to create the performance tasks in the Task Dashboard.
