Packback Discussions

We will use Packback to generate ideas, and reflect on ourselves as learners. It will also allow us to explore a new tool recently added to our College Resources. Packback gives insight into their thought process and logic development while stimulating learning through student interaction.

Overview: Packback is an AI-assisted discussion platform that gives real-time feedback and builds community. Enjoy building avatars to express yourself and be represented in the virtual classroom space.  Each community member will complete discussion posts based on the weekly chapters.

This will include:

• What? (past, descriptive, objective): Revisiting the experience; what happened, what was my role, my reaction and perception, the reaction and perception of others? What are the key facts and aspects of the experience?

• So What? (present, knowledge building): Analyzing, making sense of and understanding the context and meaning of the experience. How did I feel at the time? How do I feel now? What does it mean for me? What did I learn? What are the implications for me? What new knowledge and understanding do I have because of the experience?

• Now What? (future, active): Adjusting future outcomes. What might I do differently or the same? How can the experience impact or inform the future? What actions can I take to further build knowledge & skills? What is one key learning/takeaway, the foremost aspect of the experience I want to dig deeper into and apply in future contexts?
