Assignment Requirements and Resources
All assignments are submitted through Google Classroom and must be turned in as a PDF, Google Doc, or Microsoft Word doc. There are free scanning apps available for most tablets and phones
The student is responsible for communicating with their professor if unable to complete any assignments or other activities.
All papers should be typed, double-spaced, using a standard font style (Times, Times New Roman, Century, Helvetica, Cambria, Calibri, etc.), 12-point type with 1-inch margins on all sides. Check before you write your paper to make sure the settings in your computer program are appropriate. If you need assistance, you can get help in the Learning Lab or Computer Center from a tutor or staff member. Make sure your paper has an introduction, clearly defined body paragraphs, and a strong conclusion.
These papers are graded on the basis of your effort and insight. Be sure to PROOFREAD carefully, using the computer tools for correcting spelling and grammar errors. However, do not rely solely on these tools. Read your paper out loud to yourself or a friend to catch errors.
You may also choose another format for one project, as long as it meets all the requirements. You can submit a video, slideshow, audio, PDFs, etc. Do not sit down and write this paper all at once. Gather the information, work on it a section at a time and give yourself time to reflect on and refine what you have written.
