Career Exploration Project

Assignment Instructions 

This project has 3 parts and all three should be turned in for full credit.

PART ONE

This project will get you started on career exploration and research.  There are three parts to this part:

1. Complete assessments in FOCUS-2 

   1. Create a new account using your official ACCmail account and the Focus 2 access code (Riverbat). Use this Quick Start Guide for account set-up assistance. 

2. Save at least five occupations you are interested in FOCUS2. 

3. Create and submit your FOCUS-2 Summary Report 

PART TWO

Answer the reflection questions in complete sentences using FOCUS-2 to research the careers and majors. Follow the provided Career Project Instructions.

PART THREE:

1. Activate your Handshake account with your ACC credentials (eID and password).

2. Complete your profile setup (see Handshake videos & guides here).

3. Take a screenshot of your completed profile and submit it as proof of the completed assignment.

TURN IN:

There are three items that need to be submitted for full credit:

1. FOCUS-2 Summary Report

2. Career Exploration Reflection Questions

3. Screenshot of Handshake Profile

Grading

Your assignment will be graded using a 4-point rubric that focuses on:

• Depth of reflection

• Connection to career exploration learning outcomes

• Use of log and tracking sheet

• Clarity and completeness
