Senior Intern Responsibilities - A Condensed Reference Page

Prior to April 23, 2025

• Check the list of requirements for qualification, and make sure you are eligible for an internship

• Research potential fields/professions of interest

• Find a willing Community Advisor, and make them aware of the requirements/responsibilities

• Find a willing Faculty Advisor, and make them aware of the experience you have designed, the Community Advisor you have chosen, and the requirements/responsibilities

• Complete the Senior Internship Experience Application no later than Thursday, March 20th

• Continue to maintain eligibility by maintaining passing grades in all courses, maintaining excellent attendance, avoiding decisions that could lead to disciplinary consequences, and making sure all school fees/materials are accounted for

Internship Week One: April 23 - April 29

• Attend AP/Excel TECC/CCP Courses

• Participate in internship

• Submit hours spent at internship through the x2VOL program

• Submit hours spent in AP/Excel TECC/CCP Courses through the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Submit Week One Internship Journal entries through the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Meet with Faculty Advisor

• Start thinking about the Senior Symposium presentation

Internship Week Two: April 30 - May 6

• Attend AP/Excel TECC/CCP Courses

• Participate in internship

• Submit hours spent at internship through the x2VOL program

• Submit hours spent in AP/Excel TECC/CCP Courses through the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Submit Week Two Internship Journal entries through the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Meet with Faculty Advisor

• Continue thinking through/planning the Senior Symposium presentation

Internship Week Three: May 7- May 14

• Attend AP/Excel TECC/CCP Courses

• Participate in internship

• Submit hours spent at internship through the x2VOL program

• Submit hours spent in AP/Excel TECC/CCP Courses through the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Submit Week Three Internship Journal entries through the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Submit any digital materials needed for the Senior Symposium presentation to the Senior Internship Google Classroom

• Meet with Faculty Advisor (The third and final meeting with the Faculty Advisor should occur on May 12th or May 13th, to make sure the Faculty Advisor can accurately determine if all requirements of the internship have been met)

• Attend the Senior Symposium, at Aurora High School, on Wednesday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m. Present your internship experiences to a group of your peers and a faculty facilitator.
