The Senior Internship Experience aligns with the Six Competencies of the Strategic Vision of the Aurora City School District:

• Resilient: Senior Interns must qualify for the experience by meeting a set of requirements which demonstrate resilience both of character and academics.

• Innovative: Senior Interns must design their goals for their experience, complete the application, and seek out opportunities which meet those goals.

• Collaborative: Senior Interns will work on an ongoing basis with their Community Advisor and their Faculty Advisor throughout their experience.

• Critical Thinker: Senior Interns will maintain a reflective journal of their experiences during their internship, commenting upon what they have learned and what insights they have gained.

• Balanced: Senior Interns will gain valuable experience in time management as they balance the requirements of internship with other obligations. 

• Empathetic: Senior Interns will connect with their peers as they share their experiences at Senior Symposium and will have the opportunity to learn about the experiences of others.
