What is it?

Our STEM expo involves the MOA Kluster schools (Matapu, Opunake, Auroa, Kaponga), and the goal is to showcase learning in the classrooms at a cluster level.

It will be designed in the style of an expo. Students will have a variety of work on display, from drawings to science experiments. Some displays will be on boards, and some will be focused around projects students have constructed.

All the projects on display are focused around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths, and we hope to give our communities a glimpse of some hands on activities that students in all four schools have been part of.

Where is it?

The Sandfords Event Centre at Opunake.

When is it?

8th of November, 2018.

Doors open at 4pm and close at 8pm.

You will need to purchase tickets to this event from your school. The cost is a gold coin donation.

Who is involved?

Unfortunately, not every student will have work on display this year. This is something we will look into for further events.

Over the next few days you will receive a message through Seesaw either from the classroom teacher, or your child about what they will be presenting. If you have any questions about this, please contact your classroom teacher.

We think it would be great if students could also stand beside their project and be available to talk about what they have done to the MOA Kluster community. This isn't compulsory, and if no students happen to be next to that display at times then it will be a static display that parents can still look at. If you are able to visit through the expo, it would be great if your child could spend a bit of time next to their display.

Children and students will not be supervised during the night, as teachers and staff will be assigned duties at the event.

Please be aware of this when you attend.
