Criterion II: Lawful Practices
A program of professional preparation must be proposed and operated by an entity that makes all personnel decisions regarding the employment, retention or promotion of employees without unlawful discrimination. The entity must make all decisions regarding the admission, retention, and graduation of students without unlawful discrimination.
Non-Discrimination Policy:
The Acalanes Union High School District abides by non-discrimination policies for decisions around participants in the program and are made without consideration of differences due to gender or other constitutionally or legally prohibited considerations. These decisions include those regarding the admission, retention, progress monitoring, and program completion.
A non-discrimination policy for employees and induction participants is provided via annual notifications and is posted on AUHSD’s website and in the AUHDS Induction Candidate Handbook.
