Dr. John Nickerson, Superintendent, Unit Head of Induction Program.
Amy McNamara, Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services, provides a high level of administrative oversight of the Induction Program.
John Walker, Associate Superintendent of Educational Services Department, which houses the AUHSD Teacher Induction Program. John Walker oversees all AUHSD areas of Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology and Professional Development. He is also responsible for the institutional obligations of the AUHSD Teacher Induction Program, which includes supervising the Coordinator of New Teacher Support, who manages Induction program.
Molly Kerr, Coordinator of New Teacher Support is responsible for managing the Induction Program, which includes recruiting, training and supervising Induction Mentors. The Coordinator of New Teacher Support will meet regularly with the Associate Superintendent of Educational Services to ensure that the AUHSD Induction Program is successful in helping candidates achieve growth as educators, in alignment with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
Shelly Hadley, Executive Assistant in Administrative Services works in collaboration with the Coordinator of New Teacher Support to both identify eligible candidates for Induction and ensure candidates are recommended to the CTC for a Clear Credential once they have completed the program.
Induction Mentors provide collegial support and professional guidance to new teachers participating in AUHSD’s Induction Program. Induction Mentors are California certified teachers, who are exemplary instructors and leaders.
