The Tony Strickland for Senate campaign is looking to bring in students who are eager to learn the political process and see democracy in action. Interns will get hands-on experience into what goes into a campaign, why it is imperative for people to be civically engaged, and most of all, students will be able to interact and collaborate with politically interested students from across Orange County. Upon completion of their internship experience, students will also receive a letter of recommendation from Senator Strickland. We have welcomed students from all over Southern California and are excited to open this program again for this upcoming season.
Attached is the program outline and application for potential interns.

I’m reaching out to share a $100 paid civic fellowship opportunity for your students at Cypress High School. We are hiring at least five of your students at Cypress High School to serve as civic fellows. Fellows will perform a total of 1-2 hours of work over the course of 2 weeks to help register students to vote in their community. The application link is here at bit.ly/hsvotes and the deadline for applications is rolling.
This opportunity is fully remote and will engage students, either individually or on teams, to register voters in their community. The time commitment is flexible and allows students to tailor their voter registration initiatives to the unique needs of their schools. Each student/team is trained by experienced organizers on voter registration, is sent all the materials they need to host a drive, and maintains direct contact with one of our staff supervisors throughout the process!
Please see the fellowship application here. Here is a linked informational flyer to be shared with students and here is our website.
