Did you know?

Co:Writer can now be used as an accommodation on state tests! If students with IEPs regularly use this tool in class they can now use it on the SBA. Remember to include it in the IEP for both the general accommodations section and the testing accommodations section, as "Access to word prediction tools." If needed, Co:Writer may also be an allowable accommodation on the SBA for students with 504 plans. You can learn more about Co:Writer on the Department of Technology Website. Also, see the post below about teaching your students how to use this tool and other digital supports.

Chromebooks have many accessibility features that can support all students in inclusive classrooms. These tools can help students understand content and demonstrate their learning. In order for our students to feel empowered using these tools, they must be explicitly taught. Consider teaching these tools to your entire class and going over them as you would classroom routines and expectations. Here is a lesson that could be used to show your student how to use digital supports.
