📚 CORRECTION FACTOR GUIDELINES
Regular absence:
50% Correction Factor (CF-A)
Prolonged Absences (with a valid medical certificate for more than 3 days):
May be eligible for more than 50% Correction Factor. Succeeding ATs exceeding the 50% threshold may be granted a CF-E, subject to discussion and approval by the SAC.
Habitual Absences (not prolonged):
Still eligible for up to 50% (CF-A).
More than 50% of missed ATs = ZERO for that AT.
Late Submissions
Accepted with agreed deductions (to be discussed by the teacher)
No correction factor, even if below 10%
Non-Submissions will warrant a score of zero (0).
If absent
Correction factor will apply.
If present but not wearing proper laboratory attire:
Student will only be allowed to observe, student cannot perform experiment
Zero (0) for laboratory performance
If absent during the experiment
Student can still help on writing the laboratory report
If present but not wearing proper laboratory attire:
Student can still help on writing the laboratory report
Prolonged absence:
Student will be given dummy data by the teacher and works on the laboratory report.
These are requirements for promotion.
Implication- cannot be promoted to the next grade level, must take the summer remedial class to complete the requirement/s.
Major Assessments - MAKE-UP ATs will be given (applicable for Science)
🚨NOTE: Only a maximum of two (2) late LONG TESTS may be given to a student per year.
NO Correction Factor.
ZERO if not submitted or if no worktext during checking.
