International Internships
Completing an internship abroad is an exciting way to learn first hand about global sustainability
Students generally complete international internships in one of the following ways:
Students that are citizens of countries outside of the U.S., or have dual citizenship, or otherwise have authorization to live and work in another country may complete an internship in that country. Students need to find their own internship opportunity and provide supporting documentation to the School of Sustainability Internship Coordinator in English.
ASU Intern Abroad programs. We recommend considering ASU study abroad programs that offer internship opportunities. These programs are vetted for safety and legitimacy, assist with internship placement and visa requirements, include housing, and participants are covered by international insurance as part of the program.
However, not all programs listed on the ASU Intern Abroad site are guaranteed to be approved for SOS 484 credit. Please review the website and work with SOS Internship Coordinator before committing to a study abroad internship program.
The following ASU Study Abroad internship programs have been approved in the past for sustainability majors. However, final approval is made on a case-by-case basis. Make sure to discuss your plan with the SOS Internship Coordinator before committing to any program:
