SCAI functions as a team to assist students with registration or academic-related queries.  All emails must be sent to our inbox and one of us will reply as soon as we can, typically within 2-3 business days. During peak advising times, it may take 3-5 business days.  Be sure you include your 10-digit ASU ID number in all correspondence.

Advising Appointments

You may view advisor availability and schedule an appointment at https://fultonapps.asu.edu/advising/calendar/ 

• Students are required to complete the mandatory orientation quiz before meeting with an advisor.

• You are not required to schedule an advising appointment prior to registering for classes.

• Currently we encourage zoom advising appointments; however, in-person appointments can be requested as needed by calling our front desk at 480-965-3199.

30-Minute Advising Appointments (ZOOM)

• Students can schedule a regular, 30-minute advising appointment with any available advisor who advises for your degree program and campus. 

Slack Advising

• Students can submit brief questions to advising and receive quick responses during Slack advising hours (see the advising calendar)

• Located in the ASU Engineering workspace

• Tempe Master Programs: #scai-masters-express-advising

• Poly Master’s Program: #scai-semasters-express-advising

• PhD Programs: #scai-phd-express-advising

15-Minute "Express" Advising Appointments (ZOOM ONLY)

• Express Advising is used during peak advising times (start of the fall/spring semesters) and is a “Sign-In & Wait Your Turn” advising format that focuses on enrollment as well as deadline sensitive advising issues.

• Express Advising is not held in-person. Express is only available via ZOOM to better assist our large programs.

• Information on Express Advising, including scheduled Express Advising hours, can be found at https://links.asu.edu/SCAIexpress .

• Sign-in for Express Advising is only available during scheduled hours. Students are not able to sign-in early for future Express Advising hours and must sign-in before the last 15 minutes of Express. 

15-Minute "Flash" Advising Appointments (ZOOM ONLY) - NEW!

• Students are able to schedule a "Flash" appointment hours in advance for a same-day 15-minute advising appointment. Similar to Express, but allows for a specific appointment time rather than waiting to be taken.
