Video editing can sound complex, but you may have some experience editing in today’s technological age already! Have you ever used Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to upload pictures or videos and adjust the color? Maybe you have used a filter on TikTok or Instagram to turn yourself into a cartoon, added music to a reel, or used a voice filter. All of these are editing tools, and you may have more experience than you first thought when you started this course!
DaVinci Resolve is a user-friendly video editing software, and we will focus on some specific editing tools you will need to finish your introduction videos so you comply with the university brand standards.
Before we dive into using editing tools, let’s start with an overview of basic functions and navigation. Don’t worry, we will show you how to use the tools step-by-step later in this course to make it easy! This is simply a basic overview.
Tip: You can zoom into the page if you need a closer look. Select Ctrl on your keyboard and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
