Once your script is written and your microphone is set up, it is time to record your podcast using a few simple steps. (Note that these instructions are for Audacity software.)

1) Record using .wav files (not mp3 or AAC)

2) Click “record”

3) When speaking ensure voice level meter has a peak between -12 and -6 decibels

4) Press space bar to stop recording

5) For multiple microphones, switch from “mono” to “stereo” recording channels

6) Additional instructions are available if using more than one mic
