Silver Wings is a national co-ed organization that emphasizes community outreach and civic involvement as well as professional development & growth. We foster that environment by working with local organizations to achieve our goals for the yearly national project we decide on. In the past, we have done projects such as suicide awareness and prevention along with raising money for AIDS research. 

For the 2022-2023 school year we, as a nation, selected “Preventing and Ending homelessness among veterans” as the project. For the majority of our events, we offer all members volunteer hours that not only helps their commitment to our community but also aides them in resumes, medical school, and graduate school applications. That being said, we give all our members access to awards, scholarships, and internships at places such as the Pentagon and AFA. 

Additionally, Silver Wings has 2 yearly conferences (one in the fall and one in the spring) to meet our national members and discover new things. This year both the Region Conference and the National Conference will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada! We are planning to have at least 2 volunteer events per month while also having a fundraising event once per month. It’s not required to attend these, but what you out into Silver Wings is what you get out! We hold meetings once a week to discuss our progress on our project along with bonding with our fellow members. 

Welcome from the Arizona State University, Captain Carmen A. Lucci Chapter! Our chapter was established originally as Angel Flight in the 1960's, but it wasn't until 2008 that our chapter was reactivated. 

Although we have a short past, we are looking to make an impact that makes a lasting difference. Our members are from all majors and backgrounds, anything from Mechanical Engineering all the way to International Business. With personal and professional development and civic awareness as our mission, we aim high for success in all areas of life, including academics, leadership and community involvement. We love to succeed but also have fun while doing just that!
