Netball Year 5/6

Kia Ora Koutou, welcome to the 2021 netball season. We are currently taking registrations for Year 5/6 school teams. All children must be registered by Monday, March 29. Please read the following information carefully and do not complete the registration form until you are certain you can commit to the full season.

Year 5/6 Fees are $55 p/p

Fees will need to be paid in advance before playing. Students will not be able to play until payment has been made or sorted through the school office.

IMPORTANT: students will need to purchase their own Ashhurst School sports shirt through Academy Apparel prior to the season commencing. The cost of a sports shirt is $28.50. This can be used for all sports teams. Children are required to also wear a navy blue skirt/skort or shorts.

Basic overview:

- There are 11 games in the Year 5/6 Programme (including a tournament day). It begins on Saturday, May 8 and the last game is on Saturday, August 21. There will be a Tournament Day on Saturday, August 28. There are no games between May 29 and June 12 or between July 10 and July 20.

Games are played on a Saturday at the B&M, Ballroom andCentre at the CET Arena on Pascal Street between 8.30am - 12.00pm. They will play 4 X 8 minute quarters. They are 6 v 6 games. Scoring will take place but no results tables will be recorded

Reminder: guidelines from NNZ state – a minimum half a game per player per game.

Registrations close Monday, March 29. This allows us time to organise teams and register with Netball Manawatu.

By registering your child online, you agree to the terms as stated above in regards to payment of fees for netball and purchasing the required uniform. Please read the following information carefully and do not complete the registration form until you are certain you can commit to the full season.

Year 5/6 Fees will be slightly reduced from $55 and will be confirmed within the next couple of days.

Fees will need to be paid in advance before playing. Students will not be able to play until payment has been made or sorted through the school office.

IMPORTANT CHANGE: students will need to purchase their own Ashhurst School sports shirt through Academy Apparel prior to the season commencing. The cost of a sports shirt is $28.50. This can be used for all sports teams. Children are required to also wear a navy blue skirt/skort or shorts. These can be purchased at Kmart for approximately $5 a pair. We have some at school available for hire if needed. Please contact Kelly Davidson at kdavidson@ashhurst.school.nz as soon possible if you would like to hire one.

- The Year 5/6 Programme will run for 7 weeks (including a tournament day). It will begin the 20th of June and the last game will be on the 8th of August. They will then have a Tournament Day on Sunday the 16th of August. (there will be no netball in the holidays - the 11th & 18th July). Games are played on a Saturday at the B&M Centre at the Central Energy Trust Arena on Pascal Street between 8.30am - 1.30pm. They will play 4 X 8 minute quarters. They are 6 v 6 games. Scoring will take place but no results tables will be recorded
