Mark Jones informed me of a neat little asterism called the "37 Cluster" (aka NGC 2169). In the eyepiece, it's supposed to look like the number 37. Defocusing the view should help enhance the illusion. When I looked at the image, I noticed that the "3" looked more like the "Sigma" symbol in mathematics. This would make it the "Sigma 7" Cluster. That really rang a bell. Turns out Wally Shirra named his Mercury capsule the "Sigma Seven".
