Vector Art

For this unit, students designed two pieces: one illustration of written text and one logo. They first selected a photo or created a sketch to use as a reference, and then converted it into a vector graphic using Google Drawing. Here are some examples of their work!

Selectro, by Pol

"This logo represents the car brand: "Selectro". Selectro is a fictitious company that offers electrical cars. This logo will be used professionally, I have used several techniques to make the logo effective at a business level. After researching what captures people's attention I decided to apply two techniques:1. That of colors: There are certain colors that represent some things, and there are other colors that represent others in a subconscious way. So I have tried to choose the colors that most favor the product, taking into account the type of public to which I am offering the product2. The one of doing it wrong voluntarily: The experts say that when we humans perceive an irregularity according to its importance we remember it better. That is why if this logo were adopted by an important company, it would be remembered because people would laugh and make jokes about it."
