The north entrance, containing the rules and facts about the park, was ripped. The Kids Don't Float sign was ripped and spray painted. Then students came to the rescue and presented their ideas to Anchorage Parks and Recreation for fixing them and making them more sustainable.
Sixth grade Sand Lake Students scrape off remnants of vandalized sign. Kids Don't Float provided a new sign to keep our fellow swimmers and boaters safe.
