Library orientation is one of the techniques used to promote the library to students. It is conducted to all students, especially freshmen and transferee during the first semester of classes. Library instruction refers to short courses on how to use the library and its resources.
Library orientation includes the Introduction of Library personnel, Library services, Library resources, Arrangement of books and other materials in the library, Library sections, Rules and regulations, Classification system used, Library catalog – OPAC (learn its basics), Incoming and on-going library activities, and Open forum.
