One very effective way to create suspense is to use SHORT, SHARP sentences. You can see how these have been used in the PowerPoint above. Be careful not to overuse them though! If you look at the picture on the left, you can see how important it is to have sentences of different lengths. It makes it much easier and more enjoyable to read.
