THINGS TO THINK ABOUT
● We want the end video to be 2 minutes or less.
● It needs to clearly get your point across. It needs to have space for credits and
pictures that may not always have voice over.
● Just like other writing, this can be a draft to start with and does not have to be
your final script. But you need to get your ideas written down.
● Remember to keep thinking who your audience is and what message you want
to get across.
● There are many possible genres - documentary (factual), an interview with
experts or with people in the community who can share their knowledge or
views, comedy (use humour to get the message out), animation, etc.
● You will need to check that any facts you use are correct.
● Remember that you can use FREE underwater footage from Young Ocean
Explorers to give your video that professional touch.
● Some people are not allowed a photo / video of them on the internet for various
reasons. If you have someone like that in your group make sure they have a job
off camera - they could be incharge of filming or editing.
Pick up rubbish.
Discuss health and safety first!
Make sure to look under plants, in gardens, in gully traps and drains.
