The leaders of Heritage Academy ensure that all stakeholders have ongoing opportunities to access information and learn about STEM implementation. The leaders of Heritage Academy are involve in the planning and execution of the STEM events and opportunities. The educators are kept abreast about STEM through the weekly grade level meetings. Educators are involved in planning and implementing their PBL Units throughout the school year. The learners are engaged with PBLs, STEM Challenges incorporated with Fall Festivals and Field Days. The parents are kept abreast about STEM through the school newsletter and the Media Center's Newsletter. At all parent meetings, STEM is highlighted with the students' projects, certification process, and descriptions of STEM and why we believe it is best for the students of Heritage Academy. Prior to the pandemic, parents were able to view the PBL Displays throughout the school. Parents were also able to participate in our Fall Festivals and Field Days where parents were able to engage with their child in STEM Challenges. Parents participated in STEM Challenges also at Academic Parent Teacher Team Meetings (APTT). The governing team of Heritage Academy, which consists of educators, parents, and community partners are informed monthly of the progress of STEM at Heritage Academy. Community partners are involved with STEM events as well. They have provided Entry Events for the PBLs, field trips, judges for STEM/Science Fairs, and volunteers for Fall Festivals and Field Days.
