For the past 19 years, the UNM World Affairs Delegation has welcomed high school students from around the state to UNM's Main Campus for 3 days of simulations. LoboMUN committees tend to be smaller and faster-paced than more traditional Model UN events.
Mirroring the experience of collegiate conferences like TrojanMUN and Harvard WorldMUN, LoboMUN also offers a range of crisis committees. Delegates typically take on the role of individuals in a scenario that develops over time, as the committee's actions and decisions impact an ongoing narrative. In recent years, crisis committees have included fictional settings like Star Wars, the Hunger Games, and the SCP Foundation; as well as historical or real-world events like the Cold War, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and a near-future Security Council.
Further details & registration information will be announced soon. In the meantime, you can check out UNM WAD's website to view previous conference information.
