Who should take the ASVAB?

• Students who want to learn about their strengths and interests

• Students who want to know what they are good at doing (aptitude)

• Preparation for the SAT/ACT

• Students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades

  • Scores for 11th grade and beyond are valid for enlistment

• Any students can take the test but those who want to enlist and have high scores get more career options if they enlist

  • The ASVAB is required to enter the main branches of military service and there are minimum scores for each branch

How can I study for the ASVAB?

Highland NJROTC and the HHS Library have study guides that they have offered to lend Highland students who want to study for the ASVAB.

There are also many free online study guides and practice guides. Just search "ASVAB free study guide"
