Absolute Location - exact spot at which a place is found on the globe
Ecosystem - community of plants and animals that depend upon one another, and their surroundings, for survival
Ethnicity - belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition
Formal Region - region defined by a common characteristic
Functional Region - central point and the surrounding territory linked to it
Geographical Pattern - actual or perceived pattern related to a series of events in a region
Hemispheres - 2 halves of the earth (divided by the Equator)
Human-Environment Interaction - study of the inter-relationship between people and their physical environment
Human Geography - study of human activities and their relationship to the cultural and physical environments
Location - specific place on the earth
Movement - ongoing movement people, goods, and ideas
Perceptual Region - region defined by popular feelings and images rather than by objective data
Physical Geography - study of earth's physical features
Place - particular space with physical and human meaning
Race - social construct that distinguishes groups of people based on physical characteristics (usually skin color)
Regions - places united by specific characteristics
Relative Location - location in relation to other places
System - set of things working together as parts of an interconnecting network
