In the study of Geography, the student examines people, places and environments at local, regional, national, and international levels. Five important themes in geography –location, place, human-environment interaction, movement, and region – provide the student geographer with an organized understanding of the world in which he/she/they lives. The focus of the course includes knowledge about the physical and human geography of the world, enhancement of student understanding of the interrelatedness of the world’s regions and cultures, and the application of social studies skills.
