What is the difference between a hump and slump mold?
Roll out a plastic slab
(optional) Stamp designs on it (using your stamps from the last project)
(optional) Stamp your name where the bottom will be using your Maker's Mark (Initial's Stamp)
Cut clay to a desired shape (circle, oval, square, rectangle, etc.)
Get a MOLD form (you can use anything you have around, as long as you wrap it in plastic and/or put sheets of newspaper in between the clay and your bowl/form)
Drape/Hump Mold - impressioned clay over mold * Think of a speed bump/hump
Slump Mold - impressioned clay into mold
Achieve LEATHER-HARD (rigid to keep shape)
Remove from mold
ADD feet to the bottom of the draped/ slumped form
Clean edges w/ tool or sponge
Carve your name and period on bottom with dull pencil/ pen
