Rule 3301-51-11 Preschool Children Eligible for Special Education
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is conducting a five-year review of rule 3301-51-11, which pertains to preschool children eligible for special education. We appreciate the input and engagement from stakeholders throughout this process. The review is ongoing. The current version of rule 3301-51-11 in the Ohio Administrative Code will remain in effect until the review concludes. Once the review process is complete, Department staff will determine an effective date for the new rule draft, ensuring that implementation timelines are considerate of stakeholders’ needs and communicated in a timely manner. Data Collection on Post-School Outcomes for Students with IEPs
The data collection window for students with IEPs who exited school during the 2024-2025 school year closes August 5, 2026.
All districts of residence must report exit data in EMIS for every student with an IEP who left school this year. These data are required for Indicator 14: Post-School Outcomes and Exiting Student Data Collection.
