Ohio's Theory of Action & Resources for Mathematics

Improving mathematics outcomes for all Ohio students — across districts and grade levels and with special attention to those who are furthest behind — requires a thoughtful, multi-pronged strategy. Ohio’s Plan for K-12 Mathematics leverages multiple strands of activity and investment into one coherent theory of action. This theory builds upon existing math-related policies and initiatives in Ohio and proposes additional strategies to cultivate rigorous, high-quality mathematics instruction in every classroom and for all students. 

To achieve improved mathematics outcomes, efforts and actions need to be coordinated at the state, regional, and local levels through the following strands:
