Parent and Youth Ambassadors (PYAs) are regionalized supports that help individuals, families, and youth access resources and answers to questions at the local level. Support is available before, during, or after a crisis at no cost.
PYAs can assist with a wide range of needs, including lactation support, finding childcare for a child with special needs, or navigating more complex situations involving multiple systems. They provide high-level coordination of support but do not serve as case managers, conduct home visits, attend appointments, or provide transportation.
You can make a request for support at Ambassadors@childrenandyouth.ohio.gov or by calling the DCY Family and Customer Support Center 844-234-KIDS (5437) *Option 5.
