Community Impact Overview

The focus of the South Windsor High School Capstone Community Impact Project  is to engage each student in a personalized learning experience.  This project allows students the opportunity to apply their social, civic, and academic skills while exploring an area of interest outside the boundaries of their formal educational program.

  • participate in a community impact project 

What is a Community Impact Project?

The Community Impact Project  is any carefully monitored  service experience in which an individual has intentional learning goals and reflects on what they are learning through the experience.   Students that choose this option will identify, research, and undertake a project to impact a particular issue in the community. 

 Community Impact Engagement in the Community - This option allows you to organize, carry out and reflect on a project that impacts your community.   Must adhere to all State of Connecticut social distancing guidelines when completing this project.
