1. Quick Reports
Aspen allows the user to create Quick Reports where data can be printed or exported. These are designed at the user level and are built on the foundation of the Field Set, Filter and Sorts that have been applied to the current data set.
Quick reports allow the user to add and remove fields, change sort options, get summaries of the data (eg. count students) and to change the font and appearance of the report.
There are 4 types of Quick Report: Simple, Detail, Group, Summary
2. Simple Quick Reports
This is a basic list format. Pick your columns and sort order, add optional totals or statistics, and run. In most cases, this will look similar to the current field set. Watch the video (2:53) to learn how to create a simple quick report.
3. Detail Quick Reports
This is a page oriented format with a page break after each record. Use it to print a whole page of information about a student or staff member, for example. Watch the video (0:55) to learn how to create a simple quick report.
4. Group Quick Reports
This is a list format with data that is grouped You can include page breaks as well as calculate totals by group. Use it to print a homeroom or bus list, for example. Watch the Video to learn how to do this (1:44)
5. Summary Quick Reports
This format displays a list of aggregate values. Use this report to print totals and other statistical reports. Watch the Video to learn how to do this (1:09)
