SUMMER SCHOOL
Summer provides an excellent opportunity for students to recover credits. We have several options for summer credit recovery. Please see the below and contact your school counselor if you have any questions.
OALC CREDIT RECOVERY
June 11th to July 19st
Monday through Friday
8 am to 12 pm
(No class on June 10th, June 19th, July 4th & July 5th)
There will be two sections (8am - 10am, and 10am - 12pm). Scholars will be enrolled in both sections for the same class, or for different classes.

*Notification of Acceptance/Withdrawal
Scholars will be notified of acceptance with a letter home to the address provided in Synergy. We encourage them to provide personal email vs their school email or phone numbers that they can be reached at during the summer. Please list any additional emails (parent/guardian, etc.) in the additional comments section on the CCF form if necessary.

English 9, 10, 11, 12 (A, B, C)
Nonlinear Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 (A, B, C)
Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry (A, B, C)
Human Geo (A, B), Government, Economics, US History, World History (A, B, C)
*Life Fitness **Only offered if enough students registered
*Work Based Learned (students must have a job and be able to submit official verification of hours worked - i.e. a paystub) **Only offered if enough students registered
Transportation
Transportation will be provided from elementary school within the district. Scholars who are enrolled will be provided a transportation request form to select which elementary school they would like to ride the bus from to the OALC.
Attendance/Work Progress
Scholars are expected to attend class in-person and complete work daily to remain enrolled.
Scholars with 5 consecutive days absent will be withdrawn from the program and not allowed to return.
Scholars who have not shown work progress will be withdrawn from the program and not allowed to return.
Grading Policy
Credits are earned in 0.25 increments with a grade of “P” (passing).
If a Missing Standards form is completed, the scholar only needs to complete the missing standards to make up the credit.
Scholars have the opportunity to earn multiple credits during the summer programming.
If a scholar requests a letter grade, please select this on the CCF. This acts as the Letter Grade Agreement. A letter grade can only be achieved when a scholar earns 1.0 credit, completing all required standards.

NORTHERN STAR ONLINE
Students that work well independently can make up a credit or two over the summer through Northern Star Online. Students that are interested in this option should talk to their counselor about this opportunity.
