GRADING & GPA SCALES

GRADING SCALE

If you ever wondered what the numbers meant when you look at the grading section in Schoology, the table to the left will explain how those numbers correspond with a letter grade.

G.P.A. - GRADE POINT AVERAGE

G.P.A is the sum of total points you earn divided by the number of courses you have taken.

FIGURE OUT YOUR G.P.A.

WHY IS G.P.A. IMPORTANT?

Three reasons to keep your G.P.A. as high as you can:

  1. If going to college, the higher your G.P.A., the more opportunities you will have to get into a wider variety of colleges.

  2. If going to college, the higher your G.P.A., the higher academic scholarships (FREE money for college) you can qualify for.

  3. If your G.P.A. is high enough that you are on the A or B honor roll, you can save money on your car insurance.
