EOGs
By:Annabelle Amos
On Thursday, May 7th and Tuesday, May 12th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at MPMS had their EOGs. On Thursday, May 7th, we had our reading EOGs and on Tuesday, May 12th we had our math EOGs. On the 14th and 15th, we have retest days for people who want a 2nd chance. We have EOGs at the end of the year every year to show our growth throughout the year and to determine what classes we will have next year. For example, if you get a very good score on your math EOG, you will probably be in AMPS for 6th and 7th graders and Math 1 for 8th graders. Many teachers use rewards to help you try your best. For example, my math teacher is giving us a 95 as long as we grow and some teachers give things like cookies or candy if we do well. That was a little recap so I hope it helped you understand EOGs better!

Art Show
By: Korbin Thomas
On May 5th we had an art show which was incredible. There was a lot of nice art, especially what the advanced art classes made. The favorite sculptures I seen was a colosseum that had a boat and helmet on top which were all stacked on each other which must've been really hard to make because It just looked incredible I personally don't think I would be able to make that because of how nice it looked I could try although I don't think I would be able to make it look as nice as he did, Then there was other cool art things that the students made the art teacher also made a painting which looked really nice. We also got to interview 3 people which was fun there artwork was cool like someone made a seal with moss on its back because he went to someplace and seen one and got inspired to make that and another one of the people made a rubix cube which looked cool, he just made it because he thought it was cool then the last guy made a monster ink looking monster that was interesting, but in a good way it was unique and overall the art show was really cool.
