Beauty and the Beast Jr.

Beauty and the Beast has been our biggest production yet!

Be Our Guest! The scene required a lot of costumes that we created out of thick card board. We had the silver platter, spoons, knives, forks, dishes, salt & pepper, and a cheese grater.

Madame de la Grande Bouche was a great piece made by several students.

Gogsworth was a lot of fun to make! The pendulum even swings! We even made a wooden ornamentation on his top hat.

Designed by two very creative students, Maurice's invention was a hit!

Maurice was not the best inventor, so the prop had to "break." The clock face could be pushed out from the back side, attached with a slinky, and put back in place for the next performance.

The fireplace stands 5 feet tall, with lights around the flames. One of our students painted the fireplace with a faux marble finish.

The castle door moved to the side by stagehands for the prince who also used the doors to hide behind to transform into the beast.

The castle! These flats create our back stage. They are 8 x 4 feet. Teaching students how to use the grid method to transfer their ideas helps them a lot.

The castle flats are bolted together and held up with wooden braces.
