Mu Alpha Theta

We are dedicated to inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students. We organize local math-related events, including intercollegiate competitions, and math tutoring.

She's the First

She’s the First fights for a world where every girl chooses her own future. We team up with local organizations to make sure girls are educated, respected, and heard. It isn’t enough to teach girls to speak up, if the world isn’t ready to listen. That’s why we train educators and mentors to put girls’ voices and views at the center of their work. 

ANS MUN

The American Nicaraguan School is a place where differences are accepted and you truly have the opportunity to find who you are. Just like our school. ANSMUN offers an environment where you can shine in many aspects of life, while debating about important topics and trying to find solutions to the world’s difficult problems. We develop leaders who strive to work hard to change the problems that hound our society.

ALAAS

Lay the foundation for an organization that helps successfully include children within the spectrum of autism into society and  the workforce, with the main objective of them achieving self-sufficiency.

Green Club

Green Club seeks to continuously improve and enhance the environment our students are exposed to, by engaging the young generation and the American Nicaraguan School community in hands-on activities and projects that will foster environmental consciousness.

HACIA Democracy

HACIA Democracy is an annual conference that simulates the proceedings of the Organization of American States (OAS). The conference is aimed towards high school students interested in democratic advancement and development. HACIA’s founding members conceived of the organization as a forum to offer an educational experience that focused on domestic and regional issues in the Americas. Since its inception in May 1994, HACIA’s staff and participants have continued to explore and address a diverse range of topics affecting countries in the Western Hemisphere.

DALE

Our mission is to foster a culture of debate, dialogue and discussion of ideas, based on the principles of integrity, tolerance and respect, in secondary grade students. Our mission is to create leadership that reflects political, academic, social and cultural awareness that is necessary in contemporary society.

Rescantando Huellas

Our mission is to help and save stray animals from not only hunger, danger, abuse, and improper health but to help them find a good home.

Pink Club

Pink Club’s mission is to raise awareness and help fight breast cancer, supporting patients at Fundación Ortiz Gurdián’s breast cancer treatment facilities in Managua. Club members have raised enough funds to sponsor the treatment of a cancer patient for a period of five years. The club is now aiming to sponsor a second victim while constantly working on raising awareness about the disease.

Ecuación Futuro

Improve the level of mathematics in public schools to give students the opportunity to have a better future, making an impact on society and our country.

ANS Poets Society

To promote an environment in which ANS poets feel comfortable sharing their writing with the community, and to encourage others to use poetry as a tool for personal expression.

ANS Film Club

To create a team of ANS students passionate about film that work together in the production of multiple short films throughout the year and engage in meaningful conversations about films and filmmaking.

Creatively

Our mission is to promote self-expression through creative projects  and raise awareness of the importance of visual arts by encouraging members to think creatively and critically.

NHS

NHS elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921. 

NJHS

NJHS recognizes students for their accomplishments and challenges them to further develop through active involvement in school activities and community service.

STUCO

The American Nicaraguan School Student Council strives to promote school spirit and unity, encourage community involvement, organize school events, serve as advocates and create leaders in the ANS Community.

TEDxYouth

Next Chapter

Next Chapter will spread reading at ANS, as well as provide younger students with reading support. Next Chapter focuses on promoting reading in poverty-stricken schools in Nicaragua.

Azul Azul

The purpose of this club is to create a community with the Cristo Obrero Center by creating artistic workshops that will help awaken the creativity and imagination of children. In addition, this club will serve as a way to help raise funds for the school to improve and enhance their education.

SNHS

Our mission is to promote the passion for science, school wide, through inquiry and experimentation in the pursuit of understanding natural phenomena.

Crafting for a Cause

Raise global awareness and help people and the environment alike, teaching students the benefit of helping others, while learning a fun craft and unplugging from the digital world at the same time and to make sure that every craft we make helps a specific cause in need.

mental health awareness in our community.

Implementing preventative and mental health

promotion strategies, offering comprehensive mental

health and social services in community-based

settings, increasing research, evidence, and

information systems for mental health are all

important aspects of improving mental health leadership.

Elders Club

Our mission is to build a supportive and loving community with Nursing Homes in Nicaragua, by doing activities with the elders such as bingo, reading to them etc… Additionally it is also our misson to improve the quality of life of the nursing home residents by providing them with donation baskets, getting them a monthly permanent income, improving their facilities and furniture.

ANS Teletón

Create awareness in our community of the different disabilities that exist in our country.
