The Active Schools team work closely with a variety of community partners across Angus and into neighbouring authorities. Partnership with these agencies is vital to developing the programmes that we coordinate in our schools & communities and providing more opportunities for school aged pupils to be more active.
Schools and their staff are our immediate partners that we work closely with, further partners include many community sports clubs and physical activity providers to extend the pathway from school to community sport. We work with closely with ANGUSalive Sport & Leisure to offer coach education opportunities to support our young people & club coaches, work closely with community clubs and promote sessions in ANGUSalive centres.
All sport & physical activity providers across Angus must have achieved their club accreditation through our partners ANGUSalive. By registering with the Provider Accreditation Scheme for Sport (PASS) scheme and achieving the minimum standards, physical activity providers will be able to work with Active Schools, deliver taster sessions or lead extra-curricular clubs, support school events or simply be able to have their sessions advertised in schools.
