Who we are:

The Active Schools service is part of the Education and Lifelong Learning Service within Angus Council. Our head office is based at Angus House, Orchardbank, Forfar, DD8 1AE

Why do we need your personal information and what do we do with it?

You are giving us your personal information to permit us :

To allow children and young people to participate in events, sports leadership awards, school sports clubs and activities. To ensure health and safety of the pupil. To manage and monitor interest in these activities.

We may also use your information to verify your identity where required, contact you by post, email or telephone and to maintain our records.

General data will be used to create reports on the effectiveness of the service, however this will be statistical and non-identifiable data to ensure complete anonymity and security of participants.

Angus Council will securely hold the data provided. All data provided by you will be processed, stored and destroyed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and only for the duration of your involvement within the Active School's programme.

Who do we share your information with?

Your data will be shared with school Head Teachers and appropriate school staff, coaches and volunteers involved in organising, coaching and managing the activities to ensure the wellbeing of the children and young people.

All information provided will only be used by Active Schools and School Staff for the purposes of managing your involvement in the ​Active Schools programme. This includes using the information to contact you to communicate relevant information on the Active Schools Programmes.

Data sharing and data matching with external agencies will only be carried out under a written contract setting out the scope and limits of the data agreement.

Withdrawing consent to use your information – Where we use your personal information with your consent you may withdraw that consent at any time, and we will stop using your personal information for the purpose(s) for which consent was given.

If you have provided anyone else’s details on this form, please make sure that you have told them that you have given their information to Angus Council.
