Active Schools Awards 2024-25:
The Angus Active Schools Awards took place over 2 days in June 2025, with all nominees being announced on Wednesday 18th June and the shortlist and winners announced on Friday 20th June on Angus Active Schools X & Instagram page as a means to celebrate the commitment and value that our volunteers bring to sport and physical activity across our primary and secondary schools. The awards were opened by former Webster's High School pupil Natasha Phillips, who has gone onto represent Scotland & Team GB in half marathons, and is the current U20 half marathon record holder.
This year we were delighted to have Kilmac sponsor the awards and be able to celebrate each award with an engraved glass trophy. Liam Wilkie from Kilmac kindly provided a few words on behalf of the local company...“
Kilmac are extremely proud to be main sponsor for the Angus Active Schools Awards 2025. The work that everyone carries out is fantastic and keeps our kids active, fit and happy. It’s a pleasure to be able to support this and see personnel rewarded for all their hard work and effort given throughout the previous year.”
There are so many people from primary school leaders to students and school staff to senior pupils, as well as the many clubs and community volunteers that come into our schools to promote the pathways from school sport to community sport.
