This is a wonderful way in which you can support A Mother's Hope. We are on the front lines of a spiritual battle and depend on the prayers of our faith community. To join our prayer team, email shay@amhfw.org and we will connect you with our Prayer Team Leader. (There is no need to fill out the volunteer form.)
A Mother’s Hope has a beautiful boutique filled with baby clothes, necessary baby equipment, and personal items for our moms. Residents at A Mother’s Hope earn points for every hour they participate in classes, employment ventures, health and wellness appointments, case management, and other productive activities. Periodically, they can make purchases from the boutique using the points they have earned. Our volunteers make all this happen! It takes a lot of organized people to sort through donations and arrange them beautifully in the boutique. If this sounds like it’s up your alley, we need you!
Most of the everyday supplies used at A Mother’s Hope come from Donation Drives. If you think your church or place of business would be willing to contribute much-needed items like diapers, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, or sheetsets/towels, and you would be willing to head up the drive, then we need you! Your efforts, motivation, and organization would be much appreciated!
We have so much to celebrate at A Mother’s Hope – babies being born, women getting jobs, residents graduating from the program, holiday’s and much more! It’s heartwarming to see our residents glow as their accomplishments are being celebrated. If you would be willing to supply food and such to help celebrate these accomplishments, it would be appreciated more than you could ever know. It becomes a memory for our residents that they will never forget. If you are able, sometimes a nice meal for no reason at all is heartwarming as well. Plan on 10-12 people if this is in your skill set.
You are welcome to sign up to bring a meal outside of these celebrations using our meal chain here: https://www.giveinkind.com/inkinds/X7Z4C7Y
Fundraising is an essential and ongoing task at A Mother’s Hope. We are funded primarily by foundations, corporations, and individual donors, and we’re always exploring new ways to grow our base of monthly supporters. If you have gifts or talents in this area, we would deeply appreciate your involvement. This could include helping the night of an event, gathering silent auction items, or supporting us through other creative fundraising ideas. Fundraising can be a challenge, but it’s also an exciting opportunity to share the vision and mission of A Mother’s Hope and to invite others to invest in this impactful work. Do you have a fun fundraising idea? We love unique ideas to raise money to support our moms and babies. Some ideas include hosting a golf outing, pancake breakfasts, car washes, dress down/jean days, spaghetti dinners, trivia nights, fish fries, a garage sale, or a bake sale. Reach out to our Outreach Coordinator directly for ways we can support your event with marketing materials. Kristy@amhfw.org
A Mother’s Hope is a busy place! We often need volunteers to come in to answer phones, processing donations received, and attend to much-needed office work. If you have a cheerful disposition and are skilled in this area, please consider spending some time at A Mother’s Hope and filling this great need.
A Mother’s Hope is nestled in the woods on a beautiful 5-acre piece of land. It seems there are always branches falling and work to be done. We love to have bright flowers and nice outdoor foliage to brighten up A Mother’s Hope. If you like the outdoors and know what to do with such nature, we need you to help us!
Our residents often rely on public transportation to get to important appointments like OB visits, job interviews, and more. While our staff strives to support them during these key moments, scheduling constraints often make it difficult for us to provide transportation. That’s where you come in! If you’d like to celebrate meaningful milestones or offer encouragement during critical times, we’d love to have you on our volunteer team. Most appointments are scheduled on Mondays and Fridays between 9 AM and 4 PM to provide consistency, though occasional needs may fall outside of these times.
Join a small team of 4–6 volunteers to help give A Mother’s Hope a top-to-bottom refresh! These seasonal deep clean days focus on all areas of the house—kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, common spaces, and more. Your time and effort help create a clean, welcoming space for our residents and their families to feel at home.
A Mother’s Hope offers six classes each week to residents and program graduates. These classes fall into five key categories: Financial Wellness & Understanding, Parenting, Healthy Relationships, Life Skills, and Journey Through Pregnancy. If you have experience or expertise in any of these areas and are interested in teaching, we would love to hear from you! Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings and are one hour in length. While the majority of sessions take place during this time, there may occasionally be opportunities to offer a session outside the regular schedule based on program needs. We plan our class rotations quarterly, so we encourage you to connect with us to discuss current opportunities and areas of need. Your knowledge and presence can make a meaningful impact in the lives of the women we serve.
