WE SPECIALIZE IN STORIES OF HOPE!

Take a look at Alyssa's story above.

ANOTHER STORY OF HOPE

In September 2022, Amy* came to A Mother's Hope seeking safety and shelter. She had been staying in a hotel room before coming to AMH. Since being with our program, she has shown significant progress.

Amy has been able to continue her studies in Forensic Psychology, while also maintaining part-time employment. She has exceeded our expectations during her time with us. She successfully completed all of our classes, including Financial Literacy, Life Skills, Healthy Relationships, HEAL Cooking Class, Journey Through Pregnancy, and Parenting Class.

Furthermore, Amy has been diligent in fulfilling her legal obligations, including probation. She has also secured reliable transportation during her time with us. We are thrilled to announce that she welcomed her beautiful daughter into the world while staying at A Mother's Hope. She is proving to be an exceptional mother who prioritizes her daughter's well-being every single day.

Additionally, Amy's relationship with her family members has greatly improved while she has been with us. Initially, her relationship with her mother and stepfather was strained. However, they have become close and now spend the majority of their time together. Her stepfather has been a positive support system, assisting her with transportation.

We are delighted to share that Amy has transitioned out of A Mother's Hope. With our support and encouragement, she has successfully appealed an initial denial and has been granted assistance from the Fort Wayne Housing Authority.  As a result, she has moved into her own apartment. We are extremely proud of her and all her remarkable accomplishments throughout this past year.

Lastly, Amy has made great strides in her sobriety. With her unwavering dedication and perseverance, we are confident that she will continue to succeed as she embarks on future endeavors. Let us pray that Amy's transition from A Mother's Hope continues to go smoothly!
