ROAR Document: All students are trained at the first of year using the ROAR guidelines. ROAR stands for Respectful, Organized, Appropriate and Responsible. The guidelines provide students expectations for the classroom, hallway, lunchroom, restroom, and playground. A ROAR document can be found in each classroom and throughout the school as a reminder to students.

Bullying: Snow Springs is committed to providing our students with a safe and secure learning environment. Students engage in a curriculum throughout the year that helps them understand the different aspects of bullying and gives a common language to all students and teachers in the school when dealing with the issue of bullying.
Restricted Items at School:
Toys- interfere often lead to student distraction. For these reasons students should not bring toys to school. The school will not be held responsible if toys brought to school are damaged, lost or stolen. This includes electronic devices, video games, iPods, etc.
Weapons or Drugs- at school may be grounds for immediate expulsion according to District policy. It is the policy of Alpine School District to maintain school environments that are conducive to learning. It is the District’s intent to maintain a safe and positive atmosphere by prohibiting acts of violence, aggressive behavior, intimidation, possession of weapons, criminal behavior, or gang activity on school property.
Cell Phones- are allowed at school, but they must remain in the backpack of the student. Cell phones are to remain off during school hours. If a student is found using a cell phone during school hours, the cell phone will be taken to the office and kept until a parent/guardian can come and pick it up.
Smartwatches -Smart watches that have phone, text, internet, and/or camera capabilities (e.g. Gabb, Gizmos, etc.) are allowed at school. These devices should remain silent and not be used for anything other than telling time during the school day. If a student is found using a smart watch, the watch will be taken to the office and kept until a parent/guardian can come and pick it up. Parents in need of contacting their student during the school day, should call the school office.
Dress Code: District policy 5152 requires "to abide by standards that avoid extremes and encourage personal cleanliness."
Hairstyles should not distract from student learning or the learning of others.
Clothing
Footwear is required and must not mark or damage floors.

Examples of distracting and revealing clothing may include but is not limited to
Clothing that reveals the stomach
Shorts or pants that are excessively short (figure)
Clothing that unreasonably draws attention, disrupts, poses a health or safety issue, or interferes with the learning atmosphere, will not be allowed.
Items that depict advertising, promotions, or likeness of tobacco, e-cigarettes, alcohol, gangs or drugs or which are contrary to the educational mission, will not be allowed.
Clothing accessories that could potentially cause harm or be used as a weapon must be avoided.
Personal items such as clothing, paraphernalia, jewelry, backpacks, gym bags, water bottles, etc., mustbe free of writing, pictures, or any other implied insignias which are crude, vulgar, profane, violent, or include sexual descriptions or innuendos.
