Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up:  Parents are asked to use the pull through circles for picking up and dropping off students. The following procedures will speed up the process and keep children safe:

1. 1. You may use the north and south circle at all times for student drop off and pick up 

   2. The large center circle is to remain clear for buses. This is true even if no bus can be seen!

   3. Please do not drop off or pick up along 1700 W curbs. There is not safe access to these areas because they often put students at risk as they cross traffic and parking areas. 

   4. No left hand turns out of the north drop off zone.

   5. Pull all the way forward in the circle, thus allowing other cars to access the circle as well.  

   6. Stay in your car at all times.

   7. Drop students off on the passenger side of the vehicle.  They are trained to step “from the car to the curb”.  This is the safest way for all children.

   8. If walking in the building, please park and use the middle crosswalk. Students should not cross through parking lots or bus zones, except at crosswalks. 

   9. All students gather in the back playground area unless the blue flag is displayed. If the blue flag is up, it is an Inside Morning and students are to enter the building and sit in the hallway along the wall near their classroom.

   10. Follow directions of school personnel as they assist in the drop off and pickup process.

Walking & Biking Reminders 

1. Please check Safe Routes website and plan a safe route to school. 

2. Students should use sidewalks and cross at safe crossings or crosswalks.

3. Students should NEVER cross at drop off or parking lot entrances. It is extremely dangerous. 

4. Bikes should be stored and locked at bike racks.

5. Please follow instructions of crossing guards to safely cross at busy areas.
